The Principles of Laser Therapy in the Companion Animal
This two-hour course will include an explanation of the
biochemical cascade of events at the cellular
level and the resulting analgesia, reduction in
inflammation and accelerated healing of tissues.
Various applications will be discussed in the
canine, feline and avian species. Musculoskeletal,
dermatological, geriatric care, pain management
and assisted rehabilitation applications will be
covered.
The Principles of Laser Therapy in the Equine
Course materials will include laser tissue interaction of the biochemical cascade of events that results in analgesia, a reduction in the inflammatory process and an acceleration in the healing of tissues, the physiological and biological effects of laser therapy, general therapy expectations and techniques, therapeutic dosage calculations and application methodology for each anatomical area of the equine athlete.
